Our shared covenant for cultivating a dignified, respectful, and safe matchmaking space.
1. Serious Marriage Intentions Only
Mithaq exists solely for individuals genuinely seeking marriage. We do not accommodate casual dating, hookups, commercial promotion, or casual socializing. Every member is expected to approach conversations with sincerity, honesty, and emotional maturity.
2. Authenticity & Truthful Representation
Trust is the cornerstone of marriage. All profiles must represent your true identity:
- Use recent, authentic photographs of yourself.
- Provide honest details regarding age, occupation, marital history, and family aspirations.
- Impersonation or creating accounts on behalf of someone else without explicit authorization is strictly forbidden.
3. Respect for Privacy & Boundaries
Every member has full sovereignty over their personal data and visual media:
- Never pressure a member to reveal blurred or private photographs before they are ready.
- Do not take, record, or distribute screenshots or personal information of other members.
- Respect when someone chooses to pass or decline interest. Harassing someone after a rejection will result in permanent suspension.
4. Zero Tolerance for Abuse & Harassment
In accordance with Canadian Human Rights standards and our platform ethics, we enforce an immediate ban policy for:
- Hate speech, discrimination, or abusive language targeting race, ethnicity, religion, or nationality.
- Sexual harassment, obscene messages, or unsolicited explicit imagery.
- Financial solicitation, requests for wire transfers, crypto investments, or immigration scams.
- Blackmail, stalking, or doxxing.
5. Reporting & Active Moderation
If you encounter behavior that breaches these standards, use the Report action available on every profile and conversation. Reports are reviewed by our Canadian moderation team with strict confidentiality.
